This started with an agency invoice
We were running fit-out teams on live UK sites. Same faces on the job, month after month: people we found, people we trusted, people we would book again tomorrow. And every Friday an agency invoice arrived charging us a margin on every hour those same people worked, plus VAT out of our cashflow, for the privilege of a relationship we had built ourselves.
When we asked what we were paying for, the honest answer was paperwork: the timesheets, the compliance checks, the payroll admin. So we built the paperwork into software, put verification in front of everything, and connected companies and workers directly. The margin went back to the projects and the record went back to the people who earned it.
UrProject was incorporated in March 2025 and launched across the UK in 2026. Every feature since has been tested the same way: on live sites, with real teams, real timesheets and real deadlines. If it does not survive contact with a site, it does not ship.
They replace your agency. We make the workforce yours.
The problem we set out to fix
Not a theory. The everyday reality of UK construction labour, on both sides of the site gate.
The margin lands on every hour
Agencies charge 20 to 35 percent on labour. Not once, forever. The same people you book back month after month costs you the full markup every single week.
Workers cannot see their own money
Workers report payslips they cannot verify, holiday pay that goes missing, and umbrella deductions nobody explained. What was agreed and what gets paid are two different numbers.
The middle owns the record
Fifteen years of good work and nothing to show for it. Ratings, history and reputation sit inside the agency, so every new firm means starting from zero.
Companies run blind
WhatsApp groups, paper timesheets and a gate log that disagrees with both. Cash flow gaps, compliance risk, and no single source of truth for who worked where and when.
Worker pay figures reflect what umbrella and agency workers report in industry surveys. Agency margins of 20 to 35 percent are the standard structure of the UK labour agency market.
What we built instead
One platform with two doors. Companies run the workforce they already have and hire the people they need, direct. Workers carry a verified record that belongs to them. Nobody sits in the middle.
One system from cabin to head office
Geofenced clock-ins, digital timesheets, daily logs, expenses and client-ready proof packs. Everything your spreadsheets and WhatsApp threads do today, in one place that adds up.
See Manage →The team on your books, not the agency’s
Bring the people you already trust onto your books and find new ones without a middleman. They stay CIS with rates locked before work starts. You stop paying the margin.
See Hire →Checked before anyone touches a project
Every worker and every company goes through admin-reviewed verification, identity, documents and certificates, before they can access live work. Expiry tracking keeps it current.
See Workforce →41,200
extra workers needed every year to 2030
This is why it has to happen now. When skilled people are this scarce, the industry cannot afford to lose 20 to 35 percent of every hour to the middle. Keeping the people you trust beats renting them, and the workers filling the gap deserve a record that follows them.

What we believe
Ratings, qualifications and project record travel with the worker, not the agency. Good work should compound, not reset.
The money that fed the middle can fund better rates, better people and better delivery. It belongs on the project.
Trust on site starts before anyone sets foot on it. Every person and every company is checked first, no exceptions.
Every hour tied to a clock-in. Every dispute settled in the open. Every project ends with proof, not a shoebox of paper.
Where this is going
UK construction needs tens of thousands more workers every year than it can find, and it cannot afford to lose a margin on every hour of the people it already has. We want the direct model to be the default: every team verified once, every hour provable, every record owned by the people it belongs to. The agencies had their century. The next one belongs to the companies and the workforce, connected directly.
